Steinbock Approach GTX Fieldtest

Nonostante siano i primi di giugno là in alto, sulle Dolomiti di Brenta, sopra Madonna di Campiglio c'è ancora la neve. Io e Piergiorgio ci guardiamo. Guardiamo le montagne davanti a noi, si è tirato fuori il bel tempo.
"Giornata ideale per il Brenta eh?" 
"Fantastica" gli rispondo.
"Che dici andiamo?" mi fa lui.
"Sì, andiamo!" 
E così in dieci minuti siamo a Vallesinella, prendiamo gli zaini e partiamo verso il Tuckett. In meno di un'ora siamo alla base della parete. Il castelletto inferiore di Brenta. Una via "semplice", un quarto grado, una classica delle Dolomiti, che sale proprio di fronte al rifugio, su uno spigolino verticale di 330 metri. Io ho cambiato scarpe già due volte, prima, sul sentiero, avevo le Aria, sui ghiaioni ho dovuto mettere gli scarponcini Steinbock, ed ora dovrò cambiarle ancora con le scarpette da arrampicata. Pier invece indossa le Steinbock Approache GTX, le "All in One" di Dolomite, adatte ai sentieri, alla neve, ai ghiaioni ed anche ad un'arrampicata come questa. La salita è eccitante, come se fossimo attratti verso la cima da un magnete. Andiamo via bene, un friend qui, un nut lì, saliamo in completa sicurezza immersi in un territorio fantastico. Arriviamo in cima in meno di un'ora, ci guardiamo negli occhi, una stretta di mano.

"Berg Heil Pier!"

Despite it is the first of June, up there, on the Brenta Dolomites, above Madonna di Campiglio there is still snow.  Piergiorgio gives me a look, that is then given at the mountains in front of us. It's the first day of beautiful weather in a week.
"A perfect day for climbing in Brenta ah?"
"Really" i say.
He palys on me: "What do you say? Shall we go?" 
"Obviously!"
And so in ten minutes we are at Vallesinella, we wear our backpacks and we head towards the Tuckett. In less than an hour we are at the base of the wall. The lower castle of Brenta. A "simple" way, fourth grade. A classic route of the Dolomites, which rises just in front of the hut, on a vertical edge of 330 meters. I changed my shoes twice already, on the trail I had the Aira at my feet, on the scree then, I had to put on the Steinbock boots, and now I'll have to change it again with the climbing shoes. Pier instead, is wearing the Steinbock approache GTX, the "All in One" of Dolomite, suitable for hiking, for the snow, the scree and also to climb a route like this. The climb is exciting, as if we were attracted to the top by a magnet. We arrive at the top in less than an hour, we look in the eyes, a handshake.
